Review: Physician's Formula Organic Wear Tinted Moisturizer

As I posted in my beauty favorites, I LOVE Physician's Formula BB Cream. I love the way it makes my skin look and feel and what it does to my skin. However, I was running low on it so I decided to try another PF foundation. I decided to try the Organic Wear Tinted Moisturizer. I thought organic meant it would be good for my skin and I always like trying new products. I tried it and I have a few thoughts on it.

1.) The smell. I am not a fan of the smell. I can't really describe it. It's not a fake smell or a rubbery smell, it's more herbal but VERY strong.

2.) The feel. It feels sticky on my skin. When I apply it I used my foundation brush and I also tried using my fingers. Either way, it felt sticky and not very smooth.

3.) The coverage. I didn't feel like this covered very well. Now, it is called a tinted moisturizer, but I figured it would cover somewhat.

4.) After using it for a day or two, I broke out a little on my forehead. I had been using my BB cream so my skin was pretty clear prior to the use of the Organics Wear.

Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone who breaks out easily, who doesn't want to have to use a powder on top of it to reduce the sticky feeling, or who is looking for full coverage. I suppose this would be good to use if you don't break out easily and if you are looking for a moisturizer only. Don't expect coverage with this PF tinted moisturizer.

I hope you all found this review helpful! Please leave a comment if you've tried this product and what you thought! Thanks!

L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow Review

Happy Friday!

I'm so excited to review L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow! My sister had this when she was visiting and I tried it and loved it! So I decided to get some for myself. I got Glistening Garnet, Amber Rush, and Endless Pearl. I love these! These go on so nicely and don't clump like some cream shadows. I haven't noticed any creasing and I did not use eyeshadow primer today. The colors are true to what they seem in the container. They are vibrant and you don't need to use a lot to get color. I used my finger to apply because I felt like it would make my brush clumpy and hard to clean. I had no problem using my fingers. I would definitely recommend L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow!

Thanks for reading! As always, please comment if you have used L'oreal Infallible and what you think of it. Thanks!

Today's Look with Elf Eyeshadow

Hello! Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday I went to Marshalls to look around and I found an Elf eyeshadow palette. I was so excited because it was only $4.99! So naturally, I had to buy it. I was so excited to try it out this morning and I had to post my thoughts.

I love this eyeshadow palette! It goes on so nicely and it is pretty pigmented which I love. I hate it when you have to put layers and layers of eyeshadow on just to get some color. This eyeshadow is not like that. The colors are great. I love that some of them are metallic and some are matte. I also used the black color for eyeliner. This was definitely a great purchase!

(Other makeup I'm wearing:
Physicians Formula BB Cream
NYX Finishing Powder
Too Faced Bronzer
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara)

I hope you enjoyed my review and please comment if you love ELF too! :)

Sausage Stir-Fry

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great week so far!

So, as I said in my welcome post, I really want to share some of my favorite recipes with you all. Last night I decided to get creative in the kitchen and it turned out to be delicious! Every Sunday John and I go shopping for groceries for the week. We always get meats (chicken, ground beef..etc.) and fruit and then anything else we're out of (bread, milk, orange juice). This week we decided to get more vegetables to add to our meals. It's easy to get in the routine of having burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches, but it's so important to have vegetables with your meals. This is something we're not always good at and we decided to step up our game! So last night I decided to make a stir-fry to get vegetables in there but not by themselves. Here is my Sausage Veggie Stir-Fry :)

1 package pre-cooked sausage
1/2 green pepper
1/2 onion
about 2 Tbsp. honey
small can pineapple
1 tsp. brown sugar (I used brown sugar Splenda)
2 tsp. apricot preserves
white rice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon or to taste
1 tsp. honey

Cut up sausage into eighths. Start browning in a large skillet. While sausage is browning start cutting up the vegetables. Add the vegetables to the sausage. Add in the honey, brown sugar, and apricot preserves. Cover. In a small saucepan start boiling water for your rice. Cook rice according the package. Once rice is cooked add in the cinnamon and honey and stir. Cover. Add the pineapple to the stir-fry and cover again. Let simmer then serve! I put the rice down first then the stir-fry on top. Enjoy!

Comment below if you try this to let me know what you think! I hope you enjoy! :)

Today's Look

I decided to do a post on my look today. I wanted to show you how some of the products I reviewed in my last post actually look on. This could be a day look or it could be a look for going out. The eye looks a bit heavy, but it really shows the mascara and how it lengthens the lashes and adds volume.

First I used my Physicians Formula Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder with my kabuki brush. Next I did my eyes. I used Loreal Infallible in endless pearl. I put this on my entire eyelid. Next I used my Maybelline Expert Wear in Sandstone Shimmer. I love this eyeshadow combo   because it isn't what I would typically wear. I tend to go towards the neutrals but I love the colors in this one. I used the lightest color on top of my infallible eyeshadow and then the gold up until my crease. I then put the purple in my crease and the brown along my lash-line and in the outside corners. After I finished with the shadow, I used my Ulta brand eyeliner in Majesty along my upper lash-line and a little bit on my lower. Next, I used my Better Than Sex mascara. Seriously, this mascara is AWESOME! As you can see in my side picture of my lashes it makes them look really long.
After I finished with my eyes I went on to my face. I used my NYX Radiant Finishing Powder on the tops of my cheekbones, along my jawline, and right above my brow-bone. Then, I used my Too Faced bronzer and used my fan brush to sweep it under my cheekbone and at my temple. Once I had the bronzer where I wanted it, I then used my kabuki again to blend. And that's it!

Beauty Favorites!

Hey everyone! I'm really excited about this post. As I said in my Welcome post, I've really been on a beauty kick recently. So, I decided to do a post where I list some of my favorite beauty products. I recently discovered the dangers of Ulta. If you have ever been there you know what I'm talking about, and if you haven't, beware! I absolutely LOVE Ulta, but my bank account feel differently. This place has everything any beauty lover could ever want! They have drugstore cosmetics, high-end cosmetics, hair products, bath and body products, anything you can think of.

So here we go with my list of some of my favorite beauty products! I hope you enjoy! Comment if you have used any of these products and what you think of them! :)

1.) Primer
I never really stick to one product when it comes to primers. I like to see what's out there. However, I am currently using VS Pro Airbrush Fix and I love it. It doesn't feel greasy or sticky, it feels super silky and I love it. This is a great primer is you don't really want any coverage, just a base for your makeup.
2.) Foundation
I tend to have a hard time finding a foundation I like. I'm not a huge fan of liquid foundations because I think they feel oily on my skin and I feel like I can't touch my face throughout the day without wiping it off. This is why I tend to gravitate towards powder foundations. Physicians Formula Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder with SPF 30 is my all time go to! I love this foundation! It gives great coverage and lasts throughout the day really well. I use my kabuki brush and press into the foundation then press it into my skin, using a circular motion. Once you try this foundation you will be hooked!

 3.) BB Cream
BB cream is something I never really thought to use nor did I think I'd like it. It is kind of like a liquid foundation. However, I LOVE Physicians Formula Super BB. This is the only BB cream I've used and if they all are like this, I'm on board! I have heard that some BB's are greasy or sticky and don't feel very good on your skin, but I haven't felt that with this one. It actually has made my skin look better without any makeup. It clears my skin while covering imperfections. This BB is definitely a winner!

4.) Bronzer
This is not a bronzer I would typically try because it is kind of expensive. However, I got a Beauty Blogger kit that had sample sizes of some of the best products form Too Faced and this was in it. This bronzer is great. It's matte which is great when you just want a little bit of a natural sun look and it smells AMAZING! It smells like chocolate. Seriously, what could be better!? One thing I have noticed with this bronzer is that it goes on dark and you need to blend it with a kabuki. But once you blend it it looks great.

5.) Mascara
I do not have naturally dark and long eyelashes so I love a good mascara that can make my lashes look long and full. This mascara definitely does the trick. Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara is the best I have tried. It goes on really well, and after about two coats it looks like I'm wearing false lashes. I have not noticed any flaking or smudging throughout the day and it's not even waterproof. This mascara is definitely a keeper. It is kind of expensive though, I think about $23 for the full size, but I got this one in the Beauty Blogger favorites kit and the travel size has lasted me about two weeks and still going. Definitely would recommend this mascara.

6.) Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is one of my favorite beauty secrets. No one wants to, nor should they, wash their hair everyday, but somethings you look like you need to. The perfect solution is batiste dry shampoo. I got mine at TJMaxx for $5.99 but I think you can get it at Ulta as well for close to $8. This dry shampoo goes on great. It makes your hair look clean and gives it great volume and texture. Some dry shampoos don't smell the best, but batiste has great scents. I've tried the original, cherry, and floral and I love them all. The cherry is my favorite just because it's different. It doesn't smell like a typical hair product. This is by far my favorite dry shampoo I have tried, and I've tried a few!

I hope you've enjoyed my list of favorite beauty products! Please comment below if you've tried any of these or if you have any favorites you'd like to share :) Thanks for reading!
